How is the circuit breaker an advantage in this situation? What is it doing better than a fuse would do? In other words should I ditch my fuse for a circuit breaker before I have an unplanned adventure?
There are 2 types of circuit breakers, automatic reset and manual reset. In this application I would prefer the manual reset.

I like Bill Ws idea of seperate fuses for the lights and horn circuits.

I found the short and everything's fixed. To my surprise, it was by base of the bulb on the left front headlight. I don't usually drive with the lights on during the day and still don't think I had them on Saturday, but maybe I did.
I'll also be putting a fuse in line with the lighting circuit and the horn.
Thanks all.

Put one in the brake light circuit too. Really tough to fix on the road.
