Re: 1950 Mercury new member
Look closely and you can see this this Accessory Splash Pan Trim in this picture in the 1949 Mercury Accessory Brochure, but it doesn't list it anywhere else which is strange? It has to be Genuine Ford and not After-Market. |

Re: 1950 Mercury new member
The part might be in the original 1949 issue of the chassis parts catalog. I looked through all the accessories in the early 1951 update of the chassis parts catalog and it's not in there. That would be one of those accessories that a person would have to get up close to even tell it was there. It's a shiny cover for the part that is already in there. From the front, the bumper hides it a bit. With the accessory grill guard, it hides it even more.
This link is for 1949 accessories. It might be in there. https://www.autopaper.com/1949-mercu...s-original.php Last edited by rotorwrench; 09-03-2019 at 12:25 PM. |

Re: 1950 Mercury new member
That is the Accessory Sales Brochure listed by Auto Brochure is the same one that I copied the above picture from. Reading through it, there is no special mention of this Accessory Stone Tray Trim, but it is obviously fitted to the car illustrated in this picture. |

Re: 1950 Mercury new member
If I had one of those, I'd rechrome it and run it; the embossed letters are really cool! "Van Auken Corp" out of Detroit? Cool!
