Default 41 vs 46

Looking at the frame only. Has anyone ever put a 41 super deluxe on a 46 frame? I think they will interchange but the rear of 46 frame is narrower.
My 41 frame needs some repair and my 46 is in frame off build. I was think I could put my good body, 41, on good frame, 46, then have one driving while the over is being restored

The sheet metal mounts different ,at the grill area, on a '41 than on a '46. Front of a '41 frame is closer to a '40. You could probably make it work permanently but a lot of work for a temporary job.

In some respects the '41's appear to be very similar to the '46-48, however, they are very different, wheel base and axle width, with no similarity in the running gear and suspension. In reality I think the '41 is more like the '40 and earlier cars.
Sounds like a lot of work with very little positive results.
The suspension and running gear under my '36 is all '46-48 mounted to the '36 frame. Works good with everything bolted together.

Per the Early Ford V8 Club 1941-48 book the 1941 frame had a 11A part number, the 1942 frame a 21A P/N and the 46-48 a 51A P/N. Short answer in my opinion is no.
1942 on up sat an inch lower so I think you would be getting into a can of worms...
