Default Autolite 216 Plug Terminal Unscrew?

My 36 Ford plug wires need to fit under removable plug terminal. Had been using NGK AB-6 plugs.

Thank you. Bummer! Not the way I like to start my day.

OK, what plugs should I look for for 36 Fordor, options for my current plug wires? Opinions on the NGK AB-6?

NGK plugs and (I think) champions will be you only choice. Not 100% sure on the champions as I haven’t bought any in years due to bad luck with them. With any of them you will need metric knurl nuts. We stock them brass if you can’t find them. Going off you question I presume your car has a later engine?? As 36’s use a larger plug (autolite 386)

Wow. I was way out in left field. The Autolite 216s apparently do NOT fit my regular, stock 36 engine. Not just the terminal & wire issue but the head. I got the idea for the 216s from one of the forums but apparently did not read far enough, well enough or the fine print.

Will be sticking with the NGKs.

Really appreciate your help.

Yes you’ll need 386’s and the tops do unthread off of them. Once again using a metric brass knurl nut they will work just fine. It’s what I run in all of mine and what we stock in our store
