Did you use sealant on the studs before you installed in block? Have heads been re-torqued after initial start-up? Just a couple of things to look at.

hi, thanks for the response, yes we used thread sealant on the block end of the studs, added a bottle of stop leak, ran engine for a few hours after, most of the leaks stopped, still have a few stubborn ones. also heads have been retorqued a total od 3 times so far.

Did you retorque the heads after you ran it a few times?

If new, they probably aren't stuck yet...
Find someone with a collet type stud puller and you can probably yank'em out from the top, put on the goo, and screw'em back in with heads on.

If it were mine I would run it for a long time before I would take anything apart, if it's just seeping. Mine seeped for several miles / days before it dried up.

Put a lead washer under each leaker, or all, retorque, what is the unused outside of the lead washer can then be peeled off, and you can't see they were used. Workes every time, as long as something isn't cracked. Make the lead washer is a good fit in the stud. Get sheet lead, or order from say McMaster-Carr, thanks Herm.

What type of sealer did you use?

Left over from the "Old Barn" put an "O" ring on the stud,. under the nut, add some (goop) sealer, run it and retorque.

I used a good quality brush type teflon pipe dope, but make sure you get one that is rated for at least 200 degrees, not all of them are.

I always add a bottle of Alumiseal after the motor warms up after the second head torque. It has stopped most of the leakers after some miles. Them pesky leakers that don't stop have to be removed and resealed, kind of a pain in the ass, but got to keep those heads prestine.

Drain and flush everything thoroughly, add water only, run at idle for half hour, add MOROSO sealer, about 15 bucks a can into system, run for one hour, drain and add water and soluble oil good to go.
