Re: Fan belt
It depends on which intake manifold you have.
On my coupe I use a B50 On the 32 I have a B51. The manifold makes the generator sit a bit higher. |

Re: Fan belt
If you want to measure the length of the belt you need lay electrical tape carefully around the outside of your pulleys. Be careful not to stretch the tape. Then lay it out on a flat surface and measure the length. The B will determine the with and angle. Just my way. I hope this helps.

I found a mention of it here, for example. https://www.biedlers-belts.com/gates-b52-belt.html |

Re: Fan belt
Buy a couple sizes smaller and larger then you think you need. Then bring the unused ones back. It will save running back and forth to the auto store.

Re: Fan belt
Jim. The belt that drives the pumps and generator on my '46 Coupe, 59AB, is a Gates TR24530.

Re: Fan belt
Its a little late but I just read the number on the fan belt of my 39 deluxe. Its likely 50 years old but might still be some use. Its a Gates Vulco 643 Made in Canada B4. Thats exactly how it reads off the back of the belt.

Re: Fan belt
For fan belts go to Paulbhardware.com They are on Woods Corner rd.
in Lititiz,Pa. They have a section of ceiling about 60 feet by 125 feet with thousands of belts hanging. There are plain belts, inner cog, outer cog, cloth covered. The "B' belts have a tapper that matches the 30's and 40's pulley tapper. They have them all listed on their website. G.MC
