Default PCV Valve conversion

I have lost the write up I found on adding a PCV valve to control blow by. It used some jeep parts if I remember. If anyone still has this conversion article and can share it will certainly be appreciated.

Is the (minimal) amount of scavenging through the PCV valve bleed and the 9/64" hole through the valve-cover bolt enough to effectively combat blow-by, especially on a tired engine ?

Ideally, the PCV draws through a 5/16" or 3/8" id tube, so when manifold vacuum drops and the PCV valve weight opens-up (high-load conditions, where blow-by will be greatest), the intake vacuum can draw a fair amount of volume off the crankcase.

When the load lessens or the engine is at idle, and vacuum is high, the PCV valve closes to a bleed, so that smooth idle is not destroyed.

While I am impressed with the engineering utilizing a drilled bolt to minimize the invasiveness of connecting the PCV draw to the valve chamber, I think it might function better to somehow have larger plumbing on the PCV draw.

Perhaps connecting the PCV via a rubber hose to a modified oil filler cap ?

Keep the engine breathing stock.
If you feel the engine needs a PVC, it more likely needs to be rebuilt.
