In 1923 Barron Collier attempted to cross the Everglades in the area between Miami and Naples to pave a path for the Tamiami Trail. His Model-T made it 56 miles into the swamp before running out of gas. It took him and his men almost 2 weeks to find their way out.

What happened to the Model-T?????

two different stories......One group made it across the other group had to go back to Miami.

I used to live in naples, heard that same story, one made it and the other didn't. There are pictures hanging in resturants in Naples of the journey. Pretty cool.

Interesting, So you are saying two different groups set out the same time one made it and one did not.
