Same as the 28-29!
I work with them all the time but I have not measured their length. I will do so this evening so and update my post.
Good Day!

I'm rebuilding my 1929 engine. Should I use the 5/16 or the 3/8 drain tube?

depend on what size the hole in the cap it screws into is. Things get changed over the last umpteen years.

had one laying on the work bench today. measured from end of threads to the very bottom. 3 13/16" long 3/8" dia. Some are 5/16" dia and I don't have one of those to measure length , but, I think they will be the same length. ken

I was thinking of the oil return pipe on the side of the block, and if that's the pipe in question, then the later, lower one is slightly longer than the early higher style, but off hand I don't know the length.

Tom has a point. Is imacrazy referring to the "oil Drain Tube" screwed into the rear main cap - or - the "oil return pipe" that runs on the outside of the block????? I can measure both versions of the outside one in the morning. ken
