Its a completely new manufacture so no cores needed .The only thing is that you have to do is press on you steering shaft onto our new worm . we may be able to supply the shafts as well but the shipping would be up there .Still working on pricing but I would say $7/800 USD Ted

Is the "improvement" due to a ratio change or a reduction in friction? Is the final ratio in the new box closer to the 33 or the 34? My 34s are pretty good as is but what am I missing? Thanks.

Could you elaborate more on the mods to the frame needed, besides enlarging the hole where the sector shaft goes through?

Goes right up the column (inside steering shaft) just like always.

Yes FlatheadTed, please keep us posted about this mod. I was sold the moment you said that the box will be undistinguishable from my stock '34 box.

I might be interested in a LHD 32 box. What ratio will they be?

I did it to my '34 Phaeton 30 years ago. Couldn't be more pleased. Minor frame modification. Combined with tube shocks, Teflon shackle bushings and an Teflon layered springs, the car handles and rides like a dream. Oh, split bones too..

The mounting angle of the F1/F100 boxes do not match the frame angles of the earlier frames. The pickup frame is stright while the earlier ones are curved. You can use a wedge spacer or modify the steering box. On mine I cut a section out of the frame and weld it back to provide a stright mounting surface and locate the box slightly futher outboard. This is not a mod most people would want to do!

The improvement is due to the lower friction of the roller ,the ratio is the same as 33 to 34 ,We can supply it with the light fitting and brass grease seal and upper boss to take the Colum tub if needed .The sector spline comes with out locating segments to centre the steering wheel .I have one in my car and I can turn it around in double its length no problem .Ted

Flathead Ted; Those yellow jack stands look unsafe. I respectfully suggest the use of jack stands with a broader base and 4 ground contact points. Much more stable. Don't want anyone to have a car fall on them. Look here:

His stands look to have as much contact width as most stands, not sure where your coming from on this one?

JSeery pretty well covered it below.
I cut the whole old section out of the frame and fabricate a new section from new steel that fits the box exactly and
goes in where the old section was. In the process I design the new section so that the box ends up an inch to the outside from the old one. Gives more header room.
After you do a couple of them it only takes about an hour to do one.
