Beaulieu Autojumble
Some pictures from the recent Beaulieu Autojumble in the UK.
A huge number of people there from all over Europe. Doesn't seem to be any lack of interest in vintage cars there. Didn't get around it all. The only Model A I saw. Didn't see any parts. Barn find Austin in the Bonhams auction. Bonhams web site stated that a catalogue was needed for entry, so I downloaded one. They wouldn't let me in. Wanted 25 pounds for a printed copy. Hmmmm. Barn find Trabi. Reminds me of the film "Go Trabi Go". Mini Mokes. These used to be hired to backpackers in our warmer areas. Draughty things. One for sale for 16,000 pounds. New Jaguar SS100 around 100,000 pounds. |

Thanks for bringing this up. I didn't think to check for tube shocks. Looks like it has both types. I did check with a seller of these type of friction shocks for the Model A and they were about 150 -200 pounds each I think, and then all the brackets are needed. They were much smaller than these. Re: Beaulieu Autojumble
It would appear that the star shaped shock absorbers are actually fake "Hartford" friction shock absorbers as the genuine item has multi leaves with oak hardwood discs between and the star is a guide to how tight you have set the friction.
These appear to be there to partially conceal the non authentic independent front suspension? Cheers, Keith |

Re: Beaulieu Autojumble
I managed to walk all the way around, we worked it out to about a 10 mile walk!!
Some more pictures from Beaulieu can be found here I had a chat with Brian Bignell ref the speedster.he built it from the kit and surplus parts. He assured me that no A's were harmed and it was a nice fun build Completely different point but we saw Corky Coker there on the Saturday!
