'49 gauge anomalies 2 different sets but opposite behavior
Hi Guys,
I am restoring the gauges and getting ready to use them in a 12V system and I have 2 complete sets that came with the F-47, but the TEMP and OIL behave the opposite from each other, and I am wondering why. You can see in the pictures that 2 are stationary at full right, and 2 are to the left. They both move to the middle with the same polarity voltage applied to the terminals. Were there different senders used with each, or positive ground, or ??? It's kind of strange watching the temp gauge start high and cool down as the engine warms up. The 2 on the left are from one set of gauges, the two on the right from another. Any help, greatly appreciated. Cheers
