Model A steering wheel preserve
What is the best product to preserve a Model A steering wheel. My wheel is in very good shape,I heard using automobile wax occasionally would help. Any comments appreciated.

Re: Model A steering wheel preserve
Interesting, because I was going to try Turtle wax on my 1928 red wheel that leaves a mess on my hands and pants when it's humid out. My 1950 Studebaker wheel felt a bit sticky when on the Model A tour last Saturday, and I was thinking of using Turtle wax on it also.

Re: Model A steering wheel preserve
What I did with my steering wheel was, I sprayed WD40 on a soft washcloth, and wiped it down very well. I did it 3 times in spots, to get the crud off. Then a week later I used a "303" protectant wipe. Came out spectacular.

Re: Model A steering wheel preserve
OK, Thanks to all who replied. I tried Adams Car Care Products and their V R T (Vinyl, Rubber & Tire Dressing) worked wonderful on my Model A steering wheel it gave it a dull luster and looks great ,seems to have sealed it up quite well ,no black hands so far.
