Default converting a 3 on the tree to a hurst 3spd floorshifter

Im looking to convert a 3 on the tree in my 56 fairlane to 3 on the floor.anybody ever done this?

Many times. When your done, you'll be the 521,356 guy to do it since 1958 or so. You'll need the brackets to install it, your trans doesn't have a pad cast on the tailshaft for the shifter to mount if it is the original unit. Adjustment of the shifter throw stops is important so it'll stay in gear. Hurst makes a number of different shift arms to clear your seat.
