Default 57 Ford Draglink interchangable with 59

Can anybody confirm if the Drag link from a 57 Ford is interchangeable with the one on a 59 Ford. Also, are the Tie Rods interchangeable?
Thankyou. Mercman from Oz

I know the a-frames are interchangeable.I have 59 upper and lowers on my 57 ranchero so that I could use the 59 style link sway bar,and a 61 steering gear with rag joint and column. My guess would be that it would fit.60 and later won't fit because they have a wider track.

Yes, the stuff is the same. I raced a 57 on the dirt in the 70's, we bent up the steering racing up north, the donor car was a 59 and it bolted right on. Mark

When changing out drag link and tierod parts, remeber to center them, starting with the tierod when you set your tow in,do it so both sides are the same size/not adjusted all on one side or even mostly. After tow is site, you can then adjust draglink so steering wheel is in the right place when wheels are strait a head.

I'm looking for a old or froze up,4bbl 4100 carb,I can unfreez anything and rebuild my self, don't need chock parts. thanks for any leads.

Are we talking about North American models or Aussie models? If you're referring to Aussie models, very likely no. The Aussie 57 Fords the same body style as our 55's & 56's. They were still produced until 1958 there.
In 59 they were finally the same body styles as in North America

Thanks guys for all your answers. Yes, the 57 Draglink is from an Imported 57 Fairlane & not the local 57 Customline. It is being used on an Imported 59 Galaxie. You have solved the problem with your answers. Thanks again.
