Default 1st timer

I have my project up and running with only interior and finishing touches left to complete. I know my Ranger is real young compared to the Fords on this site, but I thought that you all may enjoy a few pics of it anyway. Let me know what you all think. My next project will be a much older Ford, and I am currently eyeing a 1950 Ford F1 with a six cylinder in it!

Nice job and a good looking truck. I'd be happy to have it sitting in my drive.

Those wheels look very nice on your Ranger. Kind of old school, like me.

Thanks everyone. I've enjoyed working on it and it gets a lot of questions and complements just about every time I'm out in it. It is a lot more common to see S10's with V8's then it is to see a Ranger with one, atleast that's the case in my neck of the woods.

My Ranger was about that year, red/orange, with a two barrel 302 and AOD. Not very good fuel mileage, but many smiles to the mile. I had 235/15 winter tires and 700 pounds of concrete samples in the back for traction. It was used as a winter beater in the snow belt. Fun truck, but yours looks nicer.

Nice truck. I had a Ranger about that vintage w/a 2.0 5sp but not anywhere near as good looking as yours. With that 2.0 I think top speed was 68 mph. Might have hit 70 downhill. Good truck for what it was.
