Default Need a 6V battery....

Yes spend the extra and get the Optima, what a difference while cranking. It does sit side ways in the original box but stays in nice/tight after adding a piece of wood under some rubber shims.

Exactly right Isaiah these batterys last and still put out the amps.

The general group 1 6V for me have only realy served well for 24 months even keeping on a trickle charge then the cranking drops off rapidly.

A typical parts store group one 6V every other year for 75-80 bucks or an Optima every 6-7 years for $225ish...well thats an easy one

The Optima Red Top 6 v is well worth the price. Bought one about a year ago for my 36 Cabriolet. Car starts quicker and seems to run better with the Optima. You can order direct from Optma.
