Engine number pad texture
When someone decides to grind off the engine number on a block, the pad then becomes smooth and does not have the "texture" it once had before grinding.
Is there something that might work to "stamp" the ground pad with to recreate that original texture that has been removed? Pluck |

Re: Engine number pad texture
Try laying a piece of course sandpaper on the spot and hit it with a hammer. The grit of the sandpaper may "dent" the surface and give a closer stock look.
