Default 1951 ford bed info

I have been looking at some of the reproduction beds and I notice different gauges of the metal for them, Does any one know what the gauge is on the original F-1 bed and what supplier comes close to that original thickness Thanks Tom

As for a supplier, Mack Hils in Missouri is the go to place for accurate reproduction beds. Metal thickness and accuracy to detail are above the rest.

Original is something close to 17 gauge on the sides and front panel.

Check out Mar-K http://www.mar-k.com/
I have always heard excellent experiences with theirs. Very high quality fabrication.
