I just have one question. The song lyrics clearly state "...It's got 8 cylinders and uses them all...". So why is this "Original" Hot Rod Lincoln fitted with a V12???

The original version of the song by Charlie Ryan actually says It's got 12 cylinders and uses them all. Charlie actually wrote the song about his personal model a with a lincoln v 12 and overdrive trans installed. The car is still around too.

Thanks for posting that Matt. I always thought that song was written about a later model Lincoln.

Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen played that song for years, and I think they changed the lyrics to suit themselves...

It's called artistic license and it is practiced by assholes that don't give a shit for tradition. If they don't like the words they should write a new song.
It's the same as the total dimwits that can't sing the Star Spangled Banner as it was written. They should be deported.

Now that's funny right there. Pete, it sounds like you don't care for Roseann's lovely singing voice. Hell, we can't deport anyone for anything else, we may as well do it for crappy singing.

I had a tube that was made with another tube inside of it but only had
one stem, I think that is what was considered a safety tube.
