Some additional views from December 19 2010 in Verdi NV . I was going to Sonora CA to rescue the 33 5w in my avitar from cobweb heaven . We had to stop anyway in Verdi as there was about 2" of fresh snow and the CalTrans Gestapo couldn't believe that a 4wd pickup with brand new tires and Wisconsin plates could make it through 2 whole inches of snow . Added a few more pics . The 33 5w is the one they were shot out of in TX in 1933 . Anyone know the serial # of this car ? The 33 4d is another view of the 3 stooges car from " we want our mummy " 1939 . The other pics are from the ambush site .

The ambush was near Gibsland, Louisiana, on May 23, 1934. There was a marker at one time and it was constantly vandalized or hunks taken away as souveniers. What is there now I have no idea.

I saw the real car back in 1993 at Whiskey Pete's Casino in Nevada. It's hard to imagine what it was like to be in that car when the cops let them have it. The movie, is pretty gruesome, although they have Clyde (Warren Beatty) outside the car. So much for realism in movies. Clyde died in the car, with Bonnie. I feel bad for the two of them, but they killed many people including two motorcycle cops.
I don't recall seeing Clyde's shirt.
People were cutting pieces of Bonnie's hair off when they brought the bodies back in town. Gruesome souvenirs, huh?

It was also alledged that Clyde Barrow was involved with the death of a peace officer in Okahoma in the parking lot of a dance hall. Plus he was alledged to be involved in a jail break at Eastham Prison Camp. He was a bad guy.

The Model T tow truck that brought the death car back to town broke down right in front of the school as it was letting the children out.

Hi there, I would like to know when, where and who knocked off the original greyhound radiator cap from Bonnie and Clydes 1934 ford death car. ? Where is it located today ? No guesses now, just facts. Some early photos show it still on. Later photos show it missing. Regards, Kevin.

I looked at the radiator top and the cap appears to have been stolen as there is no damage . Notice all the Potter stuff missing along with the spare lock etc . The years on tour have left many marks with theft and handling damage . For starters look at the back fenders !!! Absolutely no clue where the cap is now .

A friend sold a 34 4dr to an A$$ and he painted the black car brown and shot it full of holes. He was going to pass it off as the B and C car. What a waste. It was as nice a car as I can imagine. This was in 68.

all he did was to take a car with high value and lower it's value to almost nothing.
