Yes, the SEDAN is longer.

You have to go by the PARTS LISTING I posted to find the correct door by BODY CODE.

I am not understanding if the poster is working on a SEDAN or WAGON.

EDIT -

CORRECTION -

The SW inner lamp doors are shorter but should not fit correctly on a SEDAN. I guess I am at a loss as I don't know what you are wanting to do ...

By CONT KIT, you are referring to sedan, correct? That would have no bearing on the inner lamp door length.

Below are TEXT DESC of both PN's 13448 and 13434. Use them (w BODY CODE) w ILL posted in above post.

Make sure I answered that correctly ...
It was the lens that I bought for a sedan, not the lamp body or door. Continental kit was just question as a possibility.

OK ... A morning breeze just blew through and cleared the brain fog.

There were inner lenses (13450) released for the SPARE TIRE CARRIER (sedan). They should be shorter ... is that what you have?

If one bought the FORD SPARE TIRE CARRIER KIT (BPN 1400), it included the lenses (B8A 13450-D - QTY 2).

The S/W references threw me, although as I think about it, many things do ...

Does that help?

Thanks, what I was wondering. I exchanged the lens, not sure why Ford mechanic told me it was for a wagon. Your parts book, my old eyes failing but is there 3 choices a, d, b. Guess I took this 2 door discussion off track, I apologize to everyone. KULTULZ, feel free to pm. Have other questions about how many 58 bumpers there were.

I'm sorry about the ILL as I am having trouble with my browser as usual. Maybe MERCMAN can blow them up.

It doesn't matter about the HI-JACK (to me anyway) as if you need to know you need to know. Do you have a 58?

Do you want to start a new thread on a 58?

These ILL's I am posting, can your printer expand them?

There are three face bars listed incl one style for a RHT.

Thanks, I had 58 RHT, had a hard time finding rear bumper due to the license plate illumination. Sold many years ago but never found a bumper worthy of rechroming.

I bet you miss it.

There was a SPARE TIRE CARRIER KIT (accessory) released just for the 58 RHT.

Neat 1955 Ford Fairlane Two Door Station made into a Parklane.
Note the 1956 Lincoln Premiere Wheel Covers.

Actually MERC-MAN, if you look closely, it's been converted into a NOMAD look-a-like using CROWN doors, latch pillar and tiara.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.

I will have to look more closely next time. Regards Mercman <><

Nah, you're OK.

It is such a nice job, it doesn't stick out.
