Exhaust manifolds.
Regarding my '35 1 1/2 ton, on the pass side, a previous owner had to cut a half moon out of the upper frame rail to clear the exhaust. ALL of the manifolds Ive found are lime the ones I have, where the drivers side points the pie straight down and the pass side points it somewhat outward causing the interference with the frame. Did they make a pass side manifold that points straight down like the drivers side one?. I assume that the reason for the pass side pointing out is to aid in clearance for the starter but am vexed as to why butchering the frame was necessary unless there is a different manifold for this truck.

Re: Exhaust manifolds.
Try contacting Michael Driskell @ Third Gen Automotive 844-327-5988. He's a 35 guy with
lots of knowledge and a large collection of exhaust manifolds. He helped me out tremendously on my 35 convertible sedan exhaust system. A great guy to do business with. Peter |
