Default 8BA timing cover/ Delco dizzy hold down

Im installing a french block motor with a delco dizzy. 8BA timing cover. I had a 1/4-20 bolt tapped into the shaft housing for a hold down. this isn't gonna do it.
There is a flat on the head adjacent but no hole for any sort of attachment device.
This metal the block is made of is pretty stout stuff. I have to tap some holes for the oil filter and I'm afraid I'll break a tap in the hole.
Any suggestions on what I need?

Photos would be a great help. You may have to come up with a custom design hold down bracket or bolt set up. You also might want to go over to Fordbarn and post the same question to find out what other folks using Delco are doing.
