Yes, there is a railroad museum in Carson City. Well worth seeing. Also some car get together weekly. If I can get the schedule, I will post it. In Sparks, adjacent to Reno and nit far from Carson, there is a car show at Summit Racing. Mostly Street Rods. Call them for a schedule. Same with A&W in Reno on Wednesday nights. If into music, Carson City is very musical. I play jazz there twice a month at Living The Good Life.

Virginia City is great to visit as is Lake Tahoe.

What was the Harrah's collection is in Reno. http://www.automuseum.org/

Visit the state capitol. It won't take long and it's a nice building. Mark Twain lived in Carson City. His brother was the territorial governor for a while and he was his secretary.

The chamber of commerce in Reno bought what was left of the Harra's collection and have them on display there in down town Reno.
There is also a vintage vehicle consignment place there in Reno off south verginia blvd.
I stop by there every time I am in town.

I had forgot that yes Summit Racing there in Sparks has started their Friday evening car event. There is a A&W Rootbeer drive in on the south side of Reno that has a car show every Thursday during the summer.
