As a newbie at Model A restoration, I worked through the parking light issue with this forum help and am now ready to tackle the turn signal issue. I have a 1930 coupe that has sealed beam headlights, cowl lights not hooked up and two taillights with 2 bulbs. I have the taillights hooked up and working. I no longer have parking lights.

Can anyone recommend a turn signal kit that will use the cowl lights and my taillights that is easy to install. Thanks

Then the Signal Stat 900 should work great for you. If you have LEDs, the flasher can be finicky. I have LED taillights on my car, and I use my cowl lights for turn signal indicators in the front. I ended up having to use higher candle power cowl lightbulbs (to create more electrical resistance) to make the flasher work properly with my LED taillights. You should not have that issue.

The brightest cowl bulb you will find in the usual places that fits is 10 CP, which I would say is bright enough. Many LEDs will fit and can be much brighter. The thermal flasher will work fine with the 21 CP brake lights in the circuit. Recommend against the electronic flasher as so many have reported issues with those.

You may want to use amber bulbs for the front turn signals.

Go to this site https://www.ledlight.com/. Everything you need is there. Rather than use resisters and incandescent bulbs I did it all with LED components because they last longer and take much less power. I also used the signal stat 900 and a 6 volt pos ground LED flasher from this site. Also if you enter Model A in the search box replacement LEDs for the headlights will come up. Choose warm light color if you want the original head light color rather than bright white. The site lists replacement bulbs for the original 6 volt numbers. You can change the cowl light sockets to dual filament if you want. I think Snyders may also have the sockets for that. Choose red bulbs for the tail lights. Choose amber color bulbs for the cowl lights. Read the interesting info toward the bottom of the pages. I did it and it worked great but took me a long time because I had no idea what to do. Make a plan of how you will wire it before you start. I'm 80 yrs old nd had no idea what to do, so if I did it you can do it easily.
