Rear main seal cap
Hi,
Looking at checking bearing clearances pulled the rear seal cap and a small piece of the lip is cracked of in one piece about a inch in length. Right now my budget is not ready for a short block overhaul. My question will JB weld to attach back on for the short term work. at least till gas goes back down to $2 a gallon. Thanks, Steve |

Re: Rear main seal cap
If you are talking about some of the Thrust Surface Babbit broken off the Main Cap, go to Brattons WEB site and look up part 8949. Brass Replacement Rear Main with Thrust Surface.
