Default could it have been a police car?

I wish I would have taken pictures of the body before repairing and repainting. The car is a 1930 deluxe roadster and was originally a black car. When I stripped the repaint off (Bright green) which was done in 1955 I noticed on both doors it looked like it could have had some kind of spot lights with the way the holes were on the doors. also on both running boards there were four holes toward the front of the running boards (to far forward to be for step plates) also on the right front fender were four holes that were low down by the radiator shell (may be for a light or siren?) I just remember some where seeing pictures of police cars that were roadsters. This is a numbers matching car that I took apart and repainted and put everything back together and is done except waiting for the upholstery kit. This is the roadster that is going into our restaurant, hopefully in the next few weeks. Cop car? who knows, only if these cars could talk.

Tables are for eating and cars are for driving. Please don't confuse the two!

Roadsters were used a LOT as police cars back then. They were the cheapest vehicle thus making them attractive to cash-strapped municipalities during those difficult economic times.

I probably have a couple hundred pictures of Model A's as police cars from back in that era and very few of those pictures show the cars having spotlights, or white walls, or fancy paint schemes. They were low-frills transportation for the cops.

Yes, who knows the stories if those cars could talk...

So I take it you have a "drive-in" restaurant?

Methinks that they wouldn't have purchased Deluxe roadsters, just the basic, cheaper ones.
