Default 37 spindle hub dimension

Could someone tell me what the hub dimension is on a 37 spindle and the bolt pattern for hyd.
backing plates are, so they all fit together? I was told that the earlier spindles have a smaller hub dimension and a different bolt pattern. Thanks Chet/Ma.

Chet, all spindles from '37- '41 are the so called "round back" style and '42-'48 the "square" version. Dimensionally they are the same with the exception of a 1/2" longer king pin on the later square back.

I have a '36 rear axle, know this because it has mechanical rod type brakes, I understand this will take the hydraulic back plates but the hubs won't work. Supposedly the '36 hubs are different than the '37&8 cable type mechanicals and won't work. So if you have cable brakes you can be certain all parts will interchange with '39 & up. Someday I plan on pulling a hub & back plate to investigate the actual difference to see if it's incurable. The wide 5 drums are not re-popped yet, nos or unturned hubs are expensive you gotta know...
