Gentleman selling this car claims these pipes, which are duds was a Ford option, I am not knowledgable on 37 Fords and was wondering if any one can vertify this

Stifled laugh! Otherwise, from what I can see, it looks pretty good!

Here is an enlarged picture of this 1937 Ford with the external exhausts. The Hood Ornament looks different too?

Loads of photos, I didn't look at them.

Just the text is classic car salesman for 'I don't know what it is, but I think I can get $X for it.' About the most reliable fact there is it's a '37 Cabriolet.

"Low miles indicate the vehicle is merely gently used. Looks and drives like new. Are you looking for a used vehicle that is in incredible condition? Well, with this attractive, rare 1937 Ford Cabriolet, you are going to get it. It has only been gently used and has low mileage. They don't come much fresher than this! This Cabriolet is nicely equipped.
Loaded with accessories Luggage Rack, Window Wings could only be installed from the factory, Spot Light, Skirts, Hood Ornament, Fog Lights. This 37 Ford won numerous Shows for the condition in the 70's, Rumble Seat in the back and the steps to get into the rumble seat."

The Sears store (Allstate) sold them as late as the early '50's.
Same store I paid $18.95 for a 4" crank!

Okay, I admit, I did look at the pictures.

Looks like there has been floor-pan patching? No? Maybe converted from a trunk and floor space added? Maybe the two-speed rear add-on? Not familiar with this model.

It would not have gotten the AACA Senior with some of those add-ons. Also looks like a vintage V-8 Club emblem on the other grill half.

Pipes are shitty and so is the patched up floor. Is that the battery in the picture of the bottom of the car ?

Columbia fittings/controls? No pictures of under the hood which is curious. Didn't the '37 have the battery up there?

Car looks like it was a great driver about thirty years ago, has the electric fuel pump. 8 Track player hints at 12v electrics.

It would look great with a bunch of the aftermarket stuff gone. Floors.. Depends on what you are looking for I suppose. Driver or show car. Don`t know that 41 would buy one fully and correctly restored.

Hood sides are a dime a dozen, hopefully the holes in the front fenders are something small like a 1/4" to hold the end of the tube in place. But thats wishful thinking

The fake "Duesenberg" pipes are probably just screwed or bolted on and would be repairable. They really mess with the great lines of the stock front end. A perfect example why more is not always better.

Pipes are over the top. Nice car though. Very similar color to this colored blind owner.
