1965 f100 bottom paint
I have been off this forum for several years since I sold my '35 pickup. Got a lot of useful information here. Just bought a '65 f100 flare side short bed out of Texas. This is an original paint black truck, however the bottom of the cab and bed are painted a green color also original. Tag says paint code 'A' raven black. Interior is red and black dash(custom cab) Red and black speckle rubber mat.I have been around cars for enough years that I can recognize factory paint. Is this a common thing with Ford trucks of that era to have a different color on the bottom?

Yes it was. My dad bought a new '66 Ford. The hood and bed rails were white and the rest of the truck was robin egg blue.

Thanks for the reply. My truck is all black. The underside of the cab and bed as well as the bed wheel wells are painted what looks to be Caribbean Turquoise.

Maybe left over paint from the prior paint job
