1926 Runabout with Rumble Seat ?
When I was young, I enjoyed listening to my Grandad tell stories about his Model T - a 1926 runabout with a "rumpus-seat", as he called it.
I have not seen such a car, and the '25-'27 Ford Runabouts I have seen don't seem to have enough room in the turtle-deck for a rumble seat... Did Ford offer a rumble seat or would this have been an aftermarket conversion ? Thanks ! SC Frank |

Hi Frank,
I've seen such a thing in photographs, but I'm pretty sure it was an aftermarket conversion. -Dave |

pictures of aftermarket rumble seats for '26-'27. The pre-'26 turtle deck was just too small for any kind of seats. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/29/34052.html |
