Friends,
I have just picked up an Early 1928 AMES Model A Ahooga Horn with the label on the trumpet. Nice horn, but I need a ribbed cap. Does anyone know of any decent used or possibly decent reproductions of these ribbed early 1928 caps? I have contacted A&L back east but they have not gotten back with me, guess I will have to call again. Thanks, Bennett Y. |

Re: Retired
A & L does not make the motor cover for the early Ames horn. It is rather special because of the location of the mounting screw and adjustment screw; no other horn cover will fit; also the two ribs on the back of the cover are unique to this horn.

Still looking for one of those early ribbed AMES cover. I really do not know of a source that reproduces them, and I do restore horns. Bennett |
