Re: 1936 ford pickup
Just a suggestion; one of your options is to sell it; TO ME!
Congratulations, looks like a very nice vehicle. BTW, Welcome to the "Barn" there is more knowledge and experience here than you could ever imagine. There's also a few examples of bad judgement, but I'm sure you will be able to "separate the wheat from the chaff" after a while. Last edited by tubman; 07-01-2020 at 08:42 PM. |

Re: 1936 ford pickup
That is in excellent condition and must have had a fairly easy life, for it's age (84).
In 1957 @ 12 yr old. I learned to drive in a PU, just like that. It was only 21 yr old then but, already had all the fenders cracked. That was a great find!!

Congratulations. You'll enjoy that truck. You don't find old Fords like that where I live. I'd be excited too.

Re: 1936 ford pickup
Like my truck. I call it Apatchy because he's made out of patches. It is literally a truck that never was, but I love it. Wish I could post a couple more pictures but that skill has departed me of late. Lots of luck with your truck.

Re: 1936 ford pickup
One suggestion, you might want to add at least a general location of where you are to your profile. That way there may be someone right around the corner who might have something you need, friendly advice or at least a helping hand. JMO

Re: 1936 ford pickup
Heck, even me... the guy that simply can't not restore a car... I'd just make this one safe and reliable. Too cool! Congratulations.

Re: 1936 ford pickup
THAT is a sharp '36. Hard to beat the '35 and '36 Ford pickups and trucks. Beautiful to look at just sitting still.
Congratulations. That one is too nice to chop up into a street rod like 90% of the people seem to do today. I'd keep it bone stock maybe a '46 Ford hyd. brakes upgrade and then you can run 1935 Ford spoke rims, but the wide fives look fine too Keep us posted. Nice truck |

Re: 1936 ford pickup
Nice '36 and good luck with your "project". It's your truck so do what you want. I kept my '34 all original as well as my '37 1 1/2 ton dump truck. Enjoy!!!

Re: 1936 ford pickup
I agree, all old (and some new) Ford trucks
'35 and '36 Ford pickups are the tops in my book. Of course I'm not prejudiced, they are just a darn good looking truck. '40-'41 Ford trucks come in a close second. But I like the '32-'34's too wait also the Model A trucks all years ahhhhh |

Re: 1936 ford pickup
Hey Uncle Buck, I found this in the middle of Hiway 2 just East of Snohomish. Did it fall off your new truck? Just kiddin', but it sure looks the part...

Re: 1936 ford pickup
haha , that's nicer than what was on my truck. I had planned on cutting the truck up and keeping the firewall, door window frames, and front and rear axles since those and a few hardware items salvageable over the weekend. A friend of mine called me before a couple days beyI started and talked me out of it. I still got the axles and this is what he did with the rest of the truck.

Re: 1936 ford pickup
trying to install fenton headers on my 35 ford pickup, the passenger side is not an issue however the drivers side will not allow me to fit the header due to clearance issues with the steering box, I do not know its year, do i need to change the box to a 40 ford ,when the headers were purchased from speedway they stated an issue with the bolt head on the box and would need some minor fitting issues but so far not close to fitting the 48 ford flathead v8 that is in the truck
