02022020
Today's date is a rather rare occurance in the scheme of things known as a "palindrome date" (where is mrtexas). The number digits in today's date read the same forward or backwards. To be just a little more clear, today is 02/02/2020. An eight-digit palindrome date has not occurred in over 900 years....since 11111111, or 11/11/1111. I've always had an affinity for playing with numbers and some of the "interesting" things that one can do with them. Was just thinking to myself that at two minutes and two seconds after 2:00 AM this morning, the time and date digits would have consisted of "02020202022020", or technically...02:02:02,02/02/2020. Ain't none of us'ns will live to see the next 8-digit palindrome date of 12122121, or 12/12/2121, over 101 years away. DD

I remember the last "Upside Down year". 1961 . Mad Magazine told me about it at the time.

Re: 02022020
To go along with that, today's date falls on the 33rd day of the year with 333 days to go. It's a leap year so there are 366 days this year.

Re: 02022020
Interesting, and my wife just took a photo of her car's odometer turning 131313 on 02022020. Scary!

It's Groundhog's day too! Here in The Keys, he would see his shadow for sure. I don't think it makes a lot of difference, though.

Re: 02022020
That's very interesting. Never heard of palindrome. If your into numbers, you must have heard of vortex math, and the special relationship of 3, 6, and 9.

I think that calls for a beer to celebrate. I know the "Big" game hasn't started yet, but what the heck.

I went to a granddaughter's birthday party today. She was born on 2/2/02 and celebrated her 18th today.
