Need to rebuild the Hinge Pins on 56 T-Bird
Mine are worn very badly. Is there a outfit that does this? I called Hill's and they said not at this time. The fellow that did them retired. If there was a kit for that would help doing it myself.Anyone of you got any ideas on this problem.

I called Hill's again today and they are sending me these kits to rebuild the door hinges for both doors. Why didn't they yesterday tell me that have kits for that. My Passenger door is worn very bad.

Re: Need to rebuild the Hinge Pins on 56 T-Bird
Some years ago, I purchased a pair of door hinge pins for a '55 Sedan for only a couple bucks from one of the major repro parts suppliers. You have to remove the old hinge pins and inspect the bore of your hinges. If the bore thru the hinges are worn, you can drill out with a drill-press and drive bronze bushings into them to make em like new again with your new hinge pins. Not a lot of money, but a lot of work to make it right.
