Model 94 Carb issue
The accelerator pump linkage is popping out of the throttle linkage. it has been in the center hole. What holds the linkage to the throttle linkage? I had the Carb rebuilt a year ago , it has no miles on it. I have only started it in the Barn. Thanks Ray

Re: Model 94 Carb issue
Ray,
The small link that connects the arm to the actuating rod has a groove in it. That groove snaps into a spring loaded ball at the end of the actuating rod. After a zillion strokes and existing in a dirty environment that spring loaded ball gets stuck in the up position and doesn't grab the link like it should. All the above plus lots of wear and occasional miss handling makes it give the ghost. Best to get new parts, or at least better used parts. Some links have a tiny snap ring groove to reduce the pop out , marginally better. Charlie ny |

Re: Model 94 Carb issue
I use mainly new ones with the extra groove for a snap pin and new and used ones i tap on the back side with a small ball peen hammer and puts a slight bow in the lever itself. Works like a charm. ken ct.
