Repro verses original pickup bed
Has anyone don't a fairly through comparison between the repro pickup beds Brookville manufactures and an original bed. I am wondering if they are really an exact copy or like most repro sheetmetal parts, leaves something to be desired - i.e. not crisp stamping, welded joints where Ford used rivets, etc.

Can't answer your question in that detail but can make a comment......
Not sure anyone today can recreate exactly how it was made back in the day. So if you are going for pure....get an original in the best condition possible you can find. From what I have seen of the Brookville box though.....IMHO, they are pretty nice. |

Re: Repro verses original pickup bed
I have both Brookville and original. Have not compared the two other than the stake pocket pieces do not have the extra holes punched where rivets are not used. Have not checked if that has been changed since mine was made.
