36 club cabriolet window garnish molding
Does anyone know what these small clips are for on the inside of the side window garnish moldings?

They hold the window felt. I'll take a picture of the ones on my convertible and show you.

Hi Alan,
Here are a couple of photos of the garnish moldings for my convertible. You can see the clips and how they hold the felt in place. One molding has a new felt and the other has an original felt. Hope this helps. Lorenzo |

Re: 36 club cabriolet window garnish molding
Thanks Lorenzo, that is very helpful. How is the felt held on to the door? Or is there any felt on the door? My 36 doors don't have clips like these and there doesn't seem to be anything on the inside of the door that would indicate that there ever was any felt on the door side of the window.

Re: 36 club cabriolet window garnish molding
Hello Alan,
The felt on the door is bells on place by screws. Take a look at the photos. You can see small screws , a total of 6 screws for the front doors and 5 screws for the rear doors. My car is a 1937 four door convertible. I have two convertibles that I'm restoring. You can see the screws real good if you zoom in. Lorenzo |

Hey Alan,
Spell correction, the felt is held in place by screws. Not bells on place. Sorry about that. Lorenzo |

I found the small holes for the screws on the inside of the door. It's all clear to me now. Thanks Lorenzo.
