Default Finally got my 29 tudor back on the road!!!

Haven't posted in a while but a little back story after having serious health issues and out of the hobby and my 29 tudor sitting for almost 7 years I finally got her running and 1st time out on the road today!!! Man it felt so good! With alot of help from everyone here I finally got Ethel back to her old self! Many problems I had to work on went through all the basic things but I rebuilt the zenith with help from a very dear friend and figured out she had a valve not seating correctly marvel mystery oil over time fixed that. So I want to thank everyone for the help and wisdom. After having brain tumor surgery and a stroke I thought I was done with the hobby but thank God I've got another chance to enjoy life and this great hobby! Good enough that I bought another Model A to work on to keep my mind working. That's what I call therapy!! I had also never named our Tudor so my wife said we had to name the tudor and our new to us a 29 huckster truck! She named them Fred and Ethel i have a wonderful wife that enjoys the hobby as much as i do! Life is good! Thanks again Robert and Rita

Thanks everyone for all the great and kind comments! Taking everyone's advice kinda cool here today in East Tennessee but me and the wife took Ethel out again for a ride even though it was only in our subdivision we got a lot of looks and alot of waves from all the neighbors plus alot of the neighborhood dogs apparently have never heard a Model A horn!!! What a funny sight to see! The wife went with me today she was so happy! We were just so happy that we're still together a year ago she had covid very serious time 64 days in the hospital 8 days on a ventilator with alot of prayer shes back home. I have a great wonderful wife that loves the Model A hobby. Boy I'm so blessed. We can't wait to get back to enjoying life and the Model A's!!! Robert and Rita

All the best to both of you….l can truly appreciate your statement as to Blessings. I have been diagnosed with a rare lung disease and for a life long non smoker… it came as quite a surprise. With no remedy or cure, my gifted doctor says enjoy the gift of whatever time you have now as he unfortunately sees a number of folks with said disease at the end stage in the ER or worse, critical care only.

You both know the joy of a second chance and I pray it is long and fruitful… now let’s all go hit the Ford road and enjoy the ride. Be well & God Bless

Its wonderful to hear your expression of gratitude. Hope you get to enjoy many years together. So many things in life are taken for granted until we don't have them .

SHEC, I hope you can keep that disease at bay for a long time and use the time for quality time with family and friends (and your Model A).
I wish you and your family well for the journey ahead of you.

@Synchro909

Thank you kindly and I’ll keep swinging for the fence!
One thing I will miss doing is visiting my good friends brother and family Down Under - in your area they live near Melbourne and we were hoping to make the Qantas run ….. but we will just visit via FaceTime.

Cheers and thanks for the good word. Be well
