Can someone school me on how they are held to the body? Trim is off but I am hesitant as to how to remove the clips from the body.

could you post a picture could have a nut on back could be a spring type also could be tabs in middle that spread outward when squeezed could be multiplies of each

These clips are installed in the square punched holes by inserting the short tab so it abuts the edge of the hole and push in the long tab in to the hole. While holding the clip in place with one hand, insert an awl or
similar tool to spread the long tab tight against its side of the hole.
To remove, use a pair of channel lock pliers and grip the ends long ways and squeeze the pliers. The clip should pop right off.
