My knowledge 42-48 are the same with the dip. 48 axle is different that it has a boss for a tube shock. Mercury is the same also. The wheel base difference is made up in a spacer bracket on the frame that moved the entire axle setup foward

21A 3405 Radius Rod is listed as 42-48.
