hi guys, can somebody tell me the rear end width of a 37 fotd pick up? wms to wms. thanks

The WMS to WMS of a 112 inch wheelbase 40 Ford car is 59 1/2 in. Since 1935-40 frames are pretty much the same perhaps the rears end widths are the same also. The BIG GREEN BOOK shows that both the 1935 to 38 rear axle is 32.85 in. long and the 1939-41 Ford pass car axle is also 32.85 inches long. So maybe the WMS distances are the same also.

19fordy is correct, axle shafts '35 to '41 are the same length and would determine the width. Dummy me can't translate WMS though.

WMS means Wheel Mounting Surfaces?? Street rodder ran an article several years ago giving dimensions like you're looking for. I know it's been posted here a few times. I'll see if I can find it for you.

The axle lengths are the same (as said) 35-40. so all these axles are essentially the same width and many parts are interchangeable.

As you ask specifically about a 37, this being a wide 5 application, the wms measurement may be different than a 35 or 40. The wms measurement on all wide 5 rear ends (36-39) should be the same though.

ok thanks guys . i measured mine and got close about 59 and a quarter just needed back up on that from the guys here.
