30 Coupe Top Bow placement
Evening guys: I'll try again, does anyone know the measurements betwen the top bows on a 30 Coupe. I'm starting to put the body back together and I need the measurements as someone in the past has made up new top wood but they didn't mark or cut out the side rails for the bows. Help, Help, Help!!!

Re: 30 Coupe Top Bow placement
Not a bad Idea if I get stuck. (The wood is all new, but made up by the last owner)

Tinbasher,
I am currently installing a wood kit on my 30 coupe, If you can be more specific on the dimension you need I can measure tomorro and respond (front to back, center of mounting screws?)

Re: 30 Coupe Top Bow placement
If you could give me the lenght from the rear edge of the windshield header to the centre of the front bow and then the distance between the centres of the remaining bows that would be great. That will get the job done.
Thank you for your time. J.Poole "The Old Tinbasher" |

Tinbasher,
Lay the bows in place on a brand new wood kit (30 Coupe) and I measure the following: Front header back edge to first bow center: 7-1/2" 1st bow center to 2nd bow center: 7-1/2" 2nd bow center to 3rd bow center: 8-1/4" 3rd bow center to 4th bow center: 8-1/2"

Re: 30 Coupe Top Bow placement
Actually, if you're going to upholster, doesn't matter where you put them. If it was me would probably space them out evenly. If covered, no one but you will know they're not "authentic". JMO
