Default 1928 Throttle and Choke Arms ID

Here's pictures of two original and unusual carburetor parts. Both have a marking logo in them. It is a small letter C enclosing the letters M and B. The first one, a choke control arm, is a NOS piece with no plating on the solid brass. The second piece is a lightly used origional throttle control arm. It is nickle plated brass. See the pictures. Here's my two questions: First, who or what was MBCo, presumably the supplier of the parts? Second, why would Ford have one part (the throttle) nickle plated but not the other? Thanks for new info on these parts.
