What Spider Gear to Use?
I am putting together a 4:11 rear end for our '35. I have 18 tooth rear axles.
Do I use 12 tooth or 11 tooth spiders with those axles? Thanks, Mike |

Re: What Spider Gear to Use?
I never counted spider teeth, but if 11 and 12 are the choices, then the 12 would be it. You're not looking for a ratio, just a mating of the teeth.

I can look it up later, one was early and one was later, but don't remember which is which!

Quote:
16 tooth '39 - '41 The above are interchangeable in sets with appropriate spiders.
