Default Powder coated wheels with tires mounted

Coker used to powder coat new wheels and mount tires.

Are there places that do ?

Have your wheels powdered coated at a good shop, then take the wheels to a tire store and have them mounted. Most good tire shops can mount a tire without damaging the wheel.

Check with your Model A club and see who they use. Update your profile to include your location and maybe someone will have a suggestion.

Les Schwab in Prineville Oregon will mount tires and powdercoat. They have shops all over Oregon Washington and I think they are in Northern Ca now. You cna also ship to the Prineville factory.

There is a Les Schwab in the SF Bay Area that does powder coating of wheels. Some folks in my local MAFCA chapter have used them and were happy. The local powder coat shop I use said they would do my wheels but wanted me to bring them 10 pounds of coating material for five wheels, which is about double what the coating supplier recommends (five lbs for six wheels).

And to add to JayJay's comment, when I recently had a set of six 19" wheels powder coated (orange) by my local powder coating company, they only used 3 1/2 pounds of the 5 pounds I supplied them...so should not be any need for more than 5 pounds under any condition

I have never used Les Schwab but if I ever get wheels done again I will. I bought a set of five 19 inch wheels and tires from a fellow club member, he had just purchased a set of radials and had the wheels powder coated by Schwab and the tires mounted and balanced. I drove the car a few days and suddenly a tire went flat while we waited to participate in a St Patties Day parade. I pulled into a gas station and made it home, took the wheel to Les Schwab and they repaired/or replaced the tube and there was no charge. I told the girl at the counter that I wasn't the original purchaser and she told me to enjoy my ride, as the tires and tubes had come from Schwab and they stand by their work. No questions asked. might just be that outlet, but I was impressed.
