Default Customer Service

I would like to share my experience with L B customer service. This spring I purchased a new top for my 48 Ford, approximately a month after installation I notice a couple of stitches sticking up where the top is tacked to the rear bow. I sent a picture to LB and within a day they told me their machine cut the stitching to close and the top would have to be replaced. I received a call from the president of LB plus a follow up email assuring me that this was their fault and they would accept 100% the installation cost. We are talking upwards of possibly $1,000.00. Mr. Holbrook supported any decision, any means I chose to replace this top. I have never in my years had any manufacture agree to cover labor cost on any defected part especially at this level. Just though the Ford Barners should know how LB handles their mistakes and how they value their customers.
Thank you LB and Mr. Holbrook

Good on them! One reason they are ranked so highly. I wish other vendors would take a similar approach

So, what are you going to do? Accept their generosity, and live with it? Or install another top? Or?
And,what's to happen with the removed top? My criteria for perfection might be a little less... I might be a candidate to purchace the defective top, if it is at a reduced, 'blem' price ??? Maybe LB will take the top back, and do some sort of 'functional' repair ???
Just a passing thought..
(And, BTW, My car is already outfitted with LB upholstery & top - 20+ yrs old.)

Some of us have no idea what LB is. Maybe it is a good thing (don't break any forum rules) to do a bit of a promo for them. Let us know what they do.
These sort of business's don't get enough of the good press.

Good to hear and yes, thanks for this post.

I know that any antique Ford I have been around, and if it has an LB top and or interior, the owners are quick to point it out Very good selling point also, if the car is LeBarron Bonney equipped!!

I recently had a similar experience with a head liner and some small filler panels on a 40 Ford. I dealt with Wendie who is a super nice lady and she took care of the problem. Excellent customer service by LeBaron-Bonney. I have been a repeat customer and will continue to do business with them.
