Urgent warning from bill's auto works
Hello Everyone,
This is URGENT...My email that I have had for my business for 30+ years ([email protected]) has been HACKED & is being used to screw fellow car guys. I had a call from a gentleman just a few minutes ago asking me if I employed a Paul Mitchell with the phone number (770)731-8978 who was using my email address on USHIP. This gentleman booked a transport with him & is now out his money! If you call that (770) number it routes you to a FAKE AOL recovery & restore number (which is how I originally scammed hacked) PLEASE folks....I would NEVER have an accunt on USHIP, so that is NOT me & also PLEASE do NOT accept or respond to my [email protected] email address for a week or so. I cannot view it or respond to it. AOL Fraud Dept is supposedly working on it I have some suspicions as to who is behind it, but no proof. I HAVE MADE MY REPUTATION WITH HONESTY & INTEGRITY & THIS BREAKS MY HEART THAT SOMEONE IS SOILING MY NAME. I AM TRULY SORRY TO ANYONE WHO GETS INCLUDED IN THE SCAM! EVERYONE is welcome to call if they have any questions! (216)832-8697 God Bless Bill Squires(owner) Bill's Auto Works

Bill, keep your head up. You'll get thru this. Those of us who have used your services to transport for us will gladly testify that you are a class act.

Re: Urgent warning from bill's auto works
I had my Email hacked this last summer - while I was away on vacation.
I got a call on my cellphone from a friend I haven't spoken with for a couple of years. "Why are you Emailing me to query me on my satisfaction with Amazon?" He apparently got the same Email/hack entrance that I got just before I left for vacation. The scheme seems to be all you need to do is "look" at the original Email and it opens some door for the hack into your computer. Meanwhile I'm on vacation and unable to access my Email. Passwords, recovery secret words, EVERYTHING changed. Ones mind goes immediately to every financial institution I do business with using the Email. Back from vacation, a new Gmail account was started and I (fortunately) found all the financial connections intact and secure. Two factor verification by banks WORKS. Ebay another story. I found my Ebay account closed which, surprisingly, Ebay did themselves when they detected a different ISP than my usual. Someone tried to use my Ebay Email and buy something and have it sent to Melvin Village, NH - which is upstate from here near Lake Winnipesaukee. It took a while but I finally corralled my web presence and got everything straightened out. The old Email was voided in non-use in 60 days. It was a disheartening experience. So much of our lives are online and Email now. Even doing without for a short period of time is difficult. Joe K

I would like to thank everyone who sent P.M.'s, texts or phone calls supporting me during this time & offering advise to have a more secure email! !!! I am very capable of defending myself & my family in the Real World, but am clearly lacking in the internet world (which is FAR from real life) The issue has been resolved & I now have control of my business email again!!!!! Thank you & God Bless Bill Squires(owner) Bill's Auto Works https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...closed.614419/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...closed.614419/
