Default 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End

City: Mesa
State: AZ

Thanks for looking.

I'm looking for a 38 to 40 rear end in decent shape for a full fendered Model AV-8 project. If I'm lucky, you have what I need and live within a days drive from Phoenix.

Originally wanted 38 or 39, but 40 or 41 will work.

Sorry about the confusion, but I am a FNG. Apparently the 1940 rear end will work perfectly. Hit me up if you have one that you keep tripping over in your garage. Thx.

I have a complete differential out of a 1941 pickup. Includes drum to drum, radius rods, torgue tube and rear spring. Located in Pocatello, Idaho. I used to live in northwest Phoenix and it is 850 miles from here to Bell Road and I-17. I could drive it in one day. $350 for the entire setup, but you would have to come get it. I will be in Phoenix for the Goodguys Southwest Nats next week, but cannot haul the rear end with me. Driving a Subaru. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

I got one locally out of a 1940 truck. Thanks anyway. I'll probably be posting the springs and radius arms for sale soon.

Enjoy Good Guys, the weather's been great this week.

Trucks were generally 4.11 same as 60 hp. Ratio 4.56 optional for trucks with 60hp as far as my info go's. I use a 37-40 rearend with 3.78 rato an is perfect, I have a happy sounding 2200 rpm at 55mph you will be a lot happier at 55 if you end up with 4.11 ratio. I am primarily a below 55 go out-of- my-way to be a back road guy so no sweat, but check for 3.78 if you have to do go fast or as I would do, move to Hooterville.
